hippie girls find slice of heaven
We have found the hippiest little hippie town way up here in northern Thailand, practically in Burma. (Where I am dying to go but know is too dangerous right now.) It's called Pai but you pronounce it Bye and there are dreads and rasta posters and tattoo shops and bars lit all with candles. Tomorrow we are taking a yoga class, today we rented one speed bikes with baskets on the front and huffed our way up to some hotsprings in a national park which sounded like a good idea but really was silly because it's a trillion degrees outside so scalding your skin is not appealing. Especially not after a hot bike ride. But the ride itself was incredible, peddling on the left side (as they do here) through the misty hill-sized mountains and farmers tilling red dirt and trainers walking their elephants, you know, a typical day in the Thai country. After we decided the hotsprings were a bust we went to The Pool, which turned out to be a slice of heaven. After a long swim, quick bike ride through the predictable afternoon downpour and showers in our Chacos, we went and ate hot hot curry with an English girl we met this morning. Now we are scarfing down little fried crepe things with bananas and chocolate- divine!- and in couple minutes heading to our mosquito netted beds.
Big day tomorrow! We're going south! The Arizona girls we met in Chiang Mai invited us to their plush hotel in Phuket. We weren't planning on going to that tourist haven but plans can change...
Lots of thai iced tea love,
Kai

Hi Bunny! You sound great! Have you and Tia ridden on elephants yet? Have you made it to the beach? The hippie place sounds great! Too bad you can't go to
Berma and see Ung Sung Sui Chi. Her address is 54 Power St incase youre in the neighborhood. I miss talking with you! I'm very glad you have a blog tho. and email! There nust be internet cafes all around. What are the smels like and the houses and the vegitation and the people? Are there flowers everywhere? does everyone have an alter? like in Bali. I called in sick...the first time since we were at Sol Duc with Frieda. I have a cold but i'm getting BETTA! I love you and pray for you all the time. Give my love to Tia and here's lots more for YOU...XOXOXOXOXOX LOVE, MAMAMIALOVESYOU
HI Bunny! Hay, there's my other comment! I'm trying to image you in Thailand, but having never been there I can only picture you in a place like Bali. There must be some similarities... all the people are beautiful and gracious and sweet ans nice and gracful. And the weather is pretty hot...but not like Ghana. So where are you now? If youre in that swanky hotel you must have lots of access to innernet. si? ya? no? I was just talking to Jane Kurata and she was tellin me about her son (Alex's brother)s accident in Thailand...I think he fell a great distance...If you get into an accident tell the driver to take you to the best hospital in Thailand. There is a really good one and American Insurance companies want everything in English. Well, Honey Bunny, I image you're having the time of your life (again) I can't wait to hear more...I'm packing for Mexico! Iguess I don't need to bring that much do I??? I love you! xoxoxxoxoLove, mamamia
Hi Honey!
I keep checking me email and your blog and lookie here! I get to write you again! Have you ridden on an elephnt yet? Was it like Wanda? Remember Wanda? She was the only elephant I've eve ridden. Does it rain every day? Do you wish you had an umbrella? I got Alea's grad announcement. I never knew her middle name was Anne. She's in charge of the whole Santa Cruse county beach clean up! Then she's going to Matchu Pitchu and the Amazon River...my 2 dreams. Isn't it funny how many places in the world there are to go? She said she'd love it if you wanted to go to Peru too. I think she'd like me to go too. Why not? Well, my darling I better go home and wollow around in the house all alone. But don't worry about me. I'll find a book or pack for Mexico! Now yer talkin! I love you xoxoxoxoxmamapaipronounced bye
